Pig Day, ReFired Not Retired Day, Self-Injury Awareness Day

March 1st, 2011, is Pig Day, Peanut Butter Lovers Day, ReFired Not Retired Day, Self-Injury Awareness Day, and National Horse Protection Day.

Pig Day honors the domesticated pig. Celebrate the day with a special pig craft.

Peanut Butter Lovers Day is self-explanatory, but feel free to explore some new ways to enjoy this sticky, creamy spread.

ReFired Not Retired Day is for those close to retirement age. Will you simply retire and fade away, or will you refire with a new passion?

On a serious note, March 1st is Self-Injury Awareness Day. Learn how you can help.

National Horse Protection Day reminds us to rescue unwanted and neglected horses.

The Holiday Whiz best advice: Enjoy a peanut butter and bacon sandwich. Breathe deeply, honor yourself, shield yourself from neglect or harm. Consider becoming a horse groomer after retirement.
