Old Stuff Day, Dr. Seuss Day, Read Across America Day

March 2nd, 2011, is Old Stuff Day, Dr. Seuss Day, and Read Across America Day.

Honest celebrants differ as to whether we should honor old stuff or shun old stuff on Old Stuff Day. You decide.

Celebrate Dr. Seuss Day in honor of his birthday. You can read his books online. You can read them while you dine. You can read them with a kid. You can read them to a squid.

In association with Dr. Seuss Day (above), Random House and the National Education Association encourage everyone to participate in Read Across America Day: "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child."

The Holiday Whiz Mashup for March 2, 2011: Invent a rhyme, in the style of Dr. Seuss, about some of your favorite old stuff. Share your poetry with a child.
