National Puppy Day, Cuddly Kitten Day, Kick Butts Day, more

March 23rd, 2011, is National Puppy Day, Cuddly Kitten Day, Kick Butts Day, National Chip and Dip Day, Melba Toast Day, Near Miss Day, World Meteorological Day, and OK Day.

National Puppy Day is a day to, well, love puppies. Adopt one if you're ready, willing, and able.

Cuddly Kitten Day is also today, in case puppies aren't your thing.

Kick Butts Day isn't what you might think. It's about teaching kids not to smoke.

Enjoy some chips and dip for National Chip and Dip Day. (If you like French onion dip, try it with a few drops of Tobasco. Delish!)

Celebrate Melba Toast Day, honoring a crispy treat named for Dame Nellie Melba.

Near Miss Day sommemorates this date in 1989 when an asteroid narrowly mssed the earth.

The theme for World Meteorological Day 2011 is "Climate for You."

OK Day honors the abbreviation for "All Correct." Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't the abbreviation be "AC?"
