Pretzel Day, Hug an Australian Day, Richter Scale Day, Hug a Friend Day, more

April 26th, 2011, is Pretzel Day, Hug an Australian Day, Richter Scale Day, Hug a Friend Day, World Intellectual Property Day, and National Kids and Pets Day.

Celebrate Pretzel Day this year with an unusual combo of dance and pretzels.

Since there are no Australians in my personal circle right now, I'll have to celebrate Hug an Australian Day by offering my online Australian friends a virtual hug! Or I could cuddle with my daughter's stuffed kangaroo. Anyway, have a great day, Australians!

Richter Scale Day honors the birth date of Charles Richter, inventor of the scale that measures the intensity of earthquakes.

Who could argue with a concept so friendly as Hug a Friend Day?

World Intellectual Property Day is meant to raise awareness about the ins and outs of intellectual property, including copyright protection and fair use.
