Celebrations for the week of April 17-23, 2011

April 17th through April 23rd, 2011, features celebrations for National Park Week, National Coin Week, Holy Week, Organize Your Files Week, and Consumer Awareness Week.

In the United States we have 394 National Parks. They're all open and ready for you, since Congress managed to cobble together a budget, so celebrate National Park Week. (To accommodate weekenders, presumably, their week runs from April 16th through April 24th.)

The theme for this year's National Coin Week is "Blue, Gray, and Greenbacks," with a focus on Civil War currency.

Holy Week is the last week of Lent, just prior to Easter.

Organize Your Files Week is always the third week in April, fitting in nicely with tax time. Will you celebrate this event or just think about it?

Consumer Awareness Week is a time to stand up for your rights, against businesses big or small.
