International Pillow Fight Day, Tangible Karma Day, more

April 2nd, 2011, is International Pillow Fight Day, Tangible Karma Day, World Autism Awareness Day, Great Lovers Day, International Children's Book Day, National Ferret Day, and National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day.

International Pillow Fight Day takes place in cities around the globe. See "Flash Mob!" in The Trend Police to learn more.

On the first Saturday in April each year, set aside an hour to become aware of the needs of others, then do something to fulfill that need. That is the message of Tangible Karma Day.

Today is the 4th annual World Autism Awareness Day, meant to raise both funds and awareness.

Celebrate Great Lovers Day by sending a romantic ecard or watching a romantic movie.

According to the United States and International Boards on Books for Young People (USBBY and IBBY), International Children's Book Day is celebrated "to inspire a love of reading and draw attention to children's books that focus on international understanding."

If you love ferrets, National Ferret Day is the holiday for you.

Your kids might be happy to know today is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. White or wheat? Smooth or chunky? Strawberry, grape, or guava?
