Celebrations for the week of April 4-10, 2011

April 4th through April 10th, 2011, features celebrations for Hate Week, National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week, and National Public Health Week.

Hate Week is a fictional event, taken from George Orwell's classic novel, 1984.

Please, please slow down when driving in work zones during National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week! Then continue to drive with caution and respect long after this week is done. The theme for 2011 is "Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For Everyone."

National Public Health Week is a time to check your living space to find potential hazards. Look for slippery or uneven surfaces, hazardous materials, and other accidents waiting to happen.
