Celebrations for the week of April 1-7, 2011

For whatever reasons, these celebrations always begin on April Fools' Day: Laugh at Work Week, Pooper Scooper Week, and Medication Safety Week.

It's Laugh at Work Week and yes, I'm laughing as I type this. My dog is licking my toes.

Speaking of dogs, today is also the first day of Pooper-Scooper Week. This event was founded by a group called aPaws - the Association of Professional Animal Waste Specialists. They're actually quite serious about cleaning up waste, to eliminate health hazards.

On an even more serious note, this week is Medication Safety Week. Be vigilant about expiration dates, dosages, and potential drug interactions. Oh, and keep those meds out of the reach of children (and dogs).
