Patriots' Day, always celebrated on the third Monday in April, commemorates the U.S. Battles of Lexington and Concord in 1755.

U.S. Tax Deadline 2011 is today, April 18th, rather than the usual April 15th, because Emancipation Day was celebrated in Washington, D.C. on April 15th this year.
