Kraken Day, It's My Party Day, Coming Out Day, more

October 11th, 2011, is Kraken Day, "You Go, Girl" Day, It's My Party Day, Coming Out Day, National Face Your Fears Day, Macedonian National Uprising Day, General Pulaski Memorial Day, and National Sausage Pizza Day.

Kraken Day is part of the annual Cephalopod Days celebration.

"You Go, Girl" Day is a time to celebrate all things girly, feminine, and independent.

October 11th is always It's My Party Day. If you need a reason, feel free to embrace any holiday on today's list. How about a pizza party? You could serve sausage pizza for National Sausage Pizza Day, pepperoni cut to resemble kraken for Kraken Day, and anchovy pizza with spinach and liver for National Face Your Fears Day. Have fun!

Today is Coming Out Day, and there's an app for that. Show your support for the LGBT community by using a special Facebook app or tweeting to #comingout.

As if most of us need another excuse to eat pizza, today we celebrate National Sausage Pizza Day.
