Camera Day, Hug Holiday, Feast Day of Saints Peter and Paul, Isra and Mi'Raj, more

June 29th, 2011 is Camera Day, Hug Holiday, Feast Day of Saints Peter and Paul, Waffle Iron Day, Isra and Mi'Raj, and National Almond Butter Crunch Day.

Cameras are everywhere these days, from traditional cameras to cell phones to security cameras. On Camera Day take time to discuss camera safety and wisdom with your kids, to help them avoid sexting and a world of trouble. After that, have fun - go shoot some pics!

June 29th is Hug Holiday - you know what to do!

The Feast Day of Saints Peter and Paul commemorates the martyrdom of the two great Apostles. Saint Peter was crucified, Saint Paul was executed by sword.

Isra and Mi'Raj takes place on the 27th day of Rajab in the Islamic calendar. Isra and Mi'Raj honors the Prophet Muhammad's journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and his ascent into heaven.

June 29th is Waffle Iron Day. This foodie holiday is unusual because it honors a device rather than an actual food.

In the mood for something sweet and crunchy? Today is National Almond Butter Crunch Day.
