Cow Appreciation Day, Embrace Your Geekiness Day, more

July 13th, 2012, is Cow Appreciation Day, Friday the 13th, Barbershop Music Appreciation Day, Embrace Your Geekiness Day, Fool's Paradise Day, Gruntled Workers Day, National French Fries Day, and Beans 'n' Franks Day.

Chick-fil-A celebrates Cow Appreciation Day today. Get your cow on, costume-wise, to receive free food at your local Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Paraskevidekatriaphobics, beware! Today is Friday the 13th. Stay off of the the thirteenth floor, avoid breaking mirrors, stay away from black cats. Pull the blankets over your head and spend the day in bed, if you feel totally unlucky and vulnerable.

On Barbershop Music Appreciation Day, step back in time and enjoy the pure musical sound of the barbershop quartet. Here's a great example, with a modern twist:

Attention, geeks! It's time to step into the sunlight, raise your gadgets high, and embrace your geekiness. It's trendy these days! Celebrate Embrace Your Geekiness Day.

Everybody knows the opposite of "disgruntled" is... um.... "gruntled." Here's wishing you a day of "gruntledness." It's Gruntled Workers Day!

These days people don't seem to need an excuse to eat french fries, but just in case you do, be aware that today is National French Fries Day. Please pass the ketchup. Or is it catsup? Never mind.

Today is Beans 'n' Franks Day. Eat them mixed together as an entree or serve as a sandwich with beans on the side, your choice.
