Mickey Mouse Day, Occult Day, Vichyssoise Day, more

November 18th, 2011, is Mickey Mouse Day, Married to a Scorpio Support Day, Push-Button Phone Day, Occult Day, William Tell Day, and National Vichyssoise Day.

Mickey Mouse Day commemorates the 1928 birth date of Disney's favorite mouse.

November 18th is a day of moral support. It's Married to a Scorpio Support Day! Answers.com recommends you spouses should "hide their household flowcharts." Nice idea, but they probably have extra hard copies or the original file on a flash drive.

Push-Button Phone Day is a time to remember when dial phones were the norm and push-button phones were a newfangled novelty - back in 1963.

On Occult Day we celebrate the weird, the supernatural, the magical. Feel that chill in the air? Shall we have a seance?

On this date in 1307, William Tell supposedly shot an apple off of his son's head. Today is William Tell Day. Eat an apple or practice archery, but please don't aim near anyone's head.

Here's a holiday I wasn't sure how to spell - National Vichyssoise Day. This famous French soup is made with leeks, potatoes, and (of course) plenty of butter. Ooh la la!
