August 19th, 2011, is Noruz, National Sandcastle and Sculpture Day, World Photography Day, National Men's Grooming Day, National Hug Your Boss Day, World Humanitarian Day, National Aviation Day, Independence Day (Afghanistan), and National Potato Day,

In 2011 Jamshedi Noruz, the Zoroastrian New Year's Day in the Shenshai calendar, takes place on August 19th.
