Snowplow Mailbox Hockey Day, Pie Day, more

January 23rd, 2014, is Snowplow Mailbox Hockey Day, Women's Healthy Weight Day, National Handwriting Day, Measure Your Feet Day, and National Pie Day.

Believe it or not, today is Snowplow Mailbox Hockey Day. If you have access to a snowplow, please keep in mind that there are laws against that sort of thing. Oh, and if you have access to a snowplow and the inclination to play mailbox hockey, please avoid the mailboxes attached to houses. Yikes!

Thursday of January's third full week brings Women's Healthy Weight Day. Reduce your serving size a bit if necessary, but don't obsess! Even the models in fashion mags are airbrushed, after all.

National Handwriting Day is the centerpiece of January's National Handwriting Analysis Week.

Don't ask why, just embrace the spirit of Measure Your Feet Day, especially if your shoes are less than comfy.

National Pie Day is always observed on January 23rd, because "celebrating the wholesome goodness of pie is as easy as 1-2-3." Of course! Now, please pass me the pecan pie or the cherry. Either one will do.
