Statistics Day, Brandied Fruit Day, more

October 20th, 2013, is World Statistics Day, Air Traffic Control Day, World Osteoporosis Day, Birth of the Bab, Kenyatta Day, Revolution Day (Guatemala), and National Brandied Fruit Day.

2010 marked the first observance of World Statistics Day, sponsored by the United Nations to "recognize the importance of statistics in shaping our societies."

The International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers has designated October 20th as Air Traffic Control Day. Be thankful to the dedicated souls who help us arrive safely at our destinations with our tray tables in the upright position.

"Love Your Bones" is a fitting slogan for World Osteoporosis Day.

Followers of the Baha'i faith celebrate the Birth of the Bab on October 20th. Some compare the mission of the Bab with the mission of Jesus.

Kenya celebrates the memory of founding father Jomo Kenyatta today, Kenyatta Day.

Guatemala observes Revolution Day on October 20th, remembering their 1944 uprising against dictatorship.
