Blue Shirt Day, Frappe Day, more

October 7th, 2013, is Blue Shirt Day, Child Health Day, World Habitat Day, Italian Evacuation Day (Libya); and National Frappe Day.

Today is Blue Shirt Day, a day to wear blue in support of bullying prevention. This annual event takes place on the first Monday in October.

Today is the 85th anniversary of the Health Resources and Services Administration's Child Health Day.

On World Habitat Day 2013, be thankful for what you have and consider ways in which you might help others who are less fortunate.

Italian Evacuation Day commemorates the day in 1970 when Italy agreed to take back the Italian settlers who had been living in Libya since Italy's invasion in 1911.

Enjoy a foamy coffee beverage, Greek in origin, in honor of National Frappe Day.
