Organize Your Home Day, Clean Off Your Desk Day, more

January 14th, 2013, is Dress Up Your Pet Day, Organize Your Home Day, Clean Off Your Desk Day, Seijin no hi, Makar Sankranti, and National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day.

National Dress Up Your Pet Day is silly or serious, depending on your point of view. Celebrate if you and your four-legged friend agree on style!

January 14th is Organize Your Home Day, which is in concord with many new year's resolutions. Kudos to you if you can finish the job in one day!

This year National Clean Off Your Desk Day falls on the same day as Organize Your Home Day, so I hope you're feeling ambitious! Most of us probably need to participate in this holiday - at home, at work, perhaps both.

The second Monday in January is Seijin no hi in Japan, the Coming of Age festival. It is a celebration of all people turning twenty in the current year.

Makar Sankranti is a harvest festival celebrated in India, Nepal, Malaysia, and Thailand.

January 14th is National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day, a very specific sandwich celebration. Mind you, don't eat your pastrami cold.
