March 3rd, 2012, is What if Cats and Dogs Had Opposable Thumbs Day, Bonza Bottler Day, National Anthem Day, I Want You to Be Happy Day, Hina Matsuri, Peach Blossom Day, Liberation Day (Bulgaria), Egyptian Sportsman Day, and National Cold Cuts Day.
What if Cats and Dogs Had Opposable Thumbs Day is one of my favorite wacky holidays. What if they did? Would they help out around the house? Would they search online for jobs? Or would they still lounge around, waiting to be petted and fed?
Bonza Bottler Day takes place each month, when the month and day are represented by the same number. Today is 3/3 - voila!
Oh say, can you see, what holiday I'm about to mention? Sing out strong and proud on National Anthem Day.
I Want You to Be Happy Day is a nice idea, I guess, but as phrased it sounds rather bossy. Maybe I wanna be cranky!
Hina Matsuri , also known as Peach Blossom Day, is a time for Japanese families to honor their daughters. Dolls are arranged on pedestals, along with flowers.
Bulgarians celebrate their liberation since 1877 on Liberation Day.
Egyptians celebrate all things sports-related on Egyptian Sportsman Day.
Anyone feel like a sandwich? If so, stack it high with your favorite meats, in honor of National Cold Cuts Day.
