Saint Patrick's Day, Quilting Day, Submarine Day, more

March 17th, 2012, is Saint Patrick's Day, National Quilting Day, Submarine Day, Corn Dog Day, and Corned Beef and Cabbage Day.

Saint Patrick's Day is the time to wear green in honor of the patron saint of Ireland. Go to a parade, have some corned beef, drink some green beer, and generally have fun!

The third Saturday in March is National Quilting Day. Don't work on your quilt today, though, if you've been tasting green beer.

On Submarine Day, celebrate sandwiches or underwater ships. You could eat a hoagie while listening to the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine."

If you're not into the whole Irish food scene, go American and embrace Corn Dog Day.

If you are into the whole Irish food scene, go for the gusto on Corned Beef and Cabbage Day. Erin go bragh!
