Today is the day (early, at 2:00 a.m. where I live, in St. Louis, Missouri) to turn the clocks forward one hour. "Spring forward, fall back," as the saying goes. Johnny Appleseed Day is observed on March 11th and September 26th, the dates of his death and his birth, respectively. Plant a tree or at least eat an apple in his honor.

Girl Scout Sunday is celebrated on Sunday of Girl Scout Week. 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts. Thank you, on behalf of myself, my daughter, and the countless other girls who are better people because of our scouting experiences.
Oatmeal Nut Waffle Day narrows your breakfast options. Feel free to go crazy with the nuts, though - pecan, walnut, almond, pistachio - the holiday doesn't discriminate.
