Day to Remember Chemical Warfare Victims, Showa no Hi, more

April 29th, 2013, is Day to Remember Chemical Warfare Victims, Showa no Hi, and National Shrimp Scampi Day.

The United Nations promotes Day to Remember Chemical Warfare Victims on this date.

Showa no Hi is the birthday of the Japanese Emperor, marking the beginning of Golden Week.

Barring food allergies, it's hard to go wrong with shrimp, garlic, butter, and pasta. Happy National Shrimp Scampi Day. (Don't tell anyone, but I've made chicken scampi at home, and it's equally delicious.)
