4/20 is National Pot Smokers Day, a nod to the idea that people get ready to, uh, relax with a smoke, at around 4:20 in the afternoon. No comment - I'm just the messenger here.
The Day of Silence, founded in 1996, is a day when students join together, taking a vow of silence to draw attention to "the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools."
For the second year in a row, First Lady Michelle Obama is the Honorary Chair of Global Youth Service Day. The event actually runs from April 20th to April 22nd. Young people from the ages of five to twenty-five the world over participate. Check here to see the participation ranking of your state or country.

Anyway, today is Lima Bean Respect Day, which only proves that a lot of people don't care much for them. Just consider - there's no need to create a Pizza Respect Day or Ice Cream Respect Day, am I right?
