Hug a Bear Day, Stress Awareness Day, Samhain, more

November 7th, 2012, is Hug a Bear Day, National Stress Awareness Day, Notary Public Day, Samhain, and National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day.

Today is Hug a Bear Day. Hug your favorite teddy bear, or, if you want to admire a real bear from a distance, send an e-card.

The theme of National Stress Awareness Day 2012 is "Defining Outcomes for Wellbeing at Work." I hope everyone has recovered from the stress of yesterday's U.S. Election Day. If you haven't, try hugging a teddy bear.

Thank your local notary public for certifying your important legal documents. Today is Notary Public Day.

Although many observe the Celtic holiday, Samhain, on November 1st, the true date of Samhain 2012 is November 7th in the Southern Hemisphere.

Believe it or not, today is National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day. Very specific, right? Don't cheat - don't consume any milk chocolate with pecans.
