December 2011 month-long celebrations

In December many are gearing up for the holiday season - whether Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa,  or other special days. Deviate from the crowd by adding a lesser-known celebration to your repertoire. Simply choose a cause or holiday from the following list. Events are listed alphabetically, with descriptive words such as "National" and "World" omitted.
