Youth Day, Sugar Cookie Day, more

July 9th, 2013, is Goat Mother's Day, Independence Day (Argentina), Youth Day (Morocco), Martyrdom of the Bab, and National Sugar Cookie Day.

Documentation for this holiday is hard to find, but the name and concept intrigue me. Sooo.... Happy Goat Mother's Day!

Argentina gained independence from Spain in 1810. July 9th is Argentina's Independence Day

Morocco celebrates Youth Day on July 9th, remembering the 1929 birth date of King Hassan II.

Followers of the Bahai faith observe the Martyrdom of the Bab today. The martyrdom took place in Tabriz in 1850.

July 9th is National Sugar Cookie Day. If it's too hot to bake where you are, feel free to buy some. Support your local bakery!
