Safer Internet Day, Fettuccine Alfredo Day, more

February 7th, 2012, is Wave All Your Fingers at your Neighbors Day, Safer Internet Day, Send a Card to a Friend Day, Ballet Day, Travel Light Tuesday, African-American Coaches Day, Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Independence Day (Grenada), and National Fettuccine Alfredo Day.

Wave All Your Fingers at your Neighbors Day is a catchy way of promoting harmony among neighbors. Nice idea.

The theme of Safer Internet Day in 2012 is, "Connecting generations and educating each other." We work hard at this concept every day in our household. Open communication is key to helping younger, older, and/or gullible family members understand the potential pitfalls and dangers that exist online, in the midst of the fun and serious content.

On Send a Card to a Friend Day, send a traditional paper-and-envelope card or an e-greeting. The sentiment is what's important!

Ballet Day celebrates all things ballet, from dancing to watching a performance to collecting figurines. If you're really brave, wear a tutu too.

Travel Light Tuesday takes place on Tuesday of Go Green Week. Consider ways to reduce your fuel consumption - carpooling, combining errands, catching a bus, riding a bike, or walking.

African-American Coaches Day is observed on the first Tuesday in February. Coaches are valuable sources of inspiration in sports, business, and personal development.

Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is meant to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS in the Black Community, via "education, testing, involvement, and treatment."

Grenada observes Independence Day on February 7th.

Celebrate National Fettuccine Alfredo Day with a big bowl of ribbony pasta coated with creamy, cheesy goodness. Deliziosissima!
