Mountain Day, Noodle-Ring Day, more

December 11th, 2013, is International Mountain Day, Proclamation of the Republic (Burkina Faso), and National Noodle-Ring Day.

The United Nations supports International Mountain Day on December 11th, to raise awareness of the importance of mountain forests in a Green Economy. The theme for 2013 is "Mountains: Key to a Sustainable Future."

Burkina Faso observes Proclamation of the Republic today.

What's a henway? About 3 pounds. Wbat's a noodle-ring? A firm noodle casserole baked in a ring pan, then unmolded to serve. Happy National Noodle-Ring Day  to all.
