Intergeneration Day, Erntedankfest, Frappe Day, more

October 7th, 2012, is Intergeneration Day; Country Inn, Bed-and-Breakfast Day; Erntedankfest; Italian Evacuation Day (Libya); and National Frappe Day.

On Intergeneration Day, take time to mingle with people who are a generation (or more) older or younger than you are. You'll be surprised at how much fun you might have - and how much you'll learn.

Take a break from your normal routine, and spend the night in a charming home away from home. Country Inn, Bed-and-Breakfast Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in October.

Germany celebrates Erntedankfest, a Thanksgiving and harvest festival, on the first Sunday in October.

Italian Evacuation Day commemorates the day in 1970 when Italy agreed to take back the Italian settlers who had been living in Libya since Italy's invasion in 1911.

World Communion Sunday is observed on the first Sunday in October.

Enjoy a foamy coffee beverage, Greek in origin, in honor of National Frappe Day.
