Day to Eat Dinner with your Children, Punctuation Day, more

September 24th, 2012, is Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with your Children, National Punctuation Day, and National Cherries Jubilee Day.

Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children was founded by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University in 2001. Their philosophy is simple: "The more often kids eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink or use drugs."

National Punctuation Day, celebrated today and August 22nd, is near and dear to my heart. Consider brushing up on the proper use of commas, colons, and apostrophes.

If you're brave, if you have a fire extinguisher, and if your insurance is up to date, feel free to celebrate National Cherries Jubilee Day. Ready, set, flambe!
