National Shooting Week takes place in the UK from May 28th to June 5th, 2011. The event "aims" to help people try shooting for the first time, promote respect for legal firearms, and encourage people to learn more about Olympic and Paralympic shooting events.
Canada's Safe Kids Week, 2011, from May 30th to June 5th, asks parents to "Give your kids a boost!" In other words, use booster seats for children too big for car seats and under 4'6" tall.
National Barbecue Week, another UK event, is celebrated from May 30th to June 5th this year. Their slogan is, "It's (almost) Sunny - So Barbi!"
National Camping and Caravanning Week is yet another British event, celebrated from May 30th to June 6th, with a special event called The Big Pitch on June 4th. The ultimate goal is for the whole country to sleep under the stars on that one special night! Let's hope the weather is balmy.
